Autonomy: What Runs Automatically and What Waits for You
Which steps the AI takes on its own, which always wait for a person, and the one review setting you control.

PlacementFlow does not have a dial of autonomy levels. Each step is either something the AI does on its own or something that always waits for a person, and that split is built into the product. Neither you nor the AI can move a step from one side to the other.
Always waits for you
- Counter-offers and anything about money. Every one routes to a human. See How Reply Classification Works.
- Submitting a candidate to a client. You send every submission.
- Declining a candidate. Screening flags answers that miss your must-knows; it never rejects anyone. Only a recruiter declines.
- Making an offer. Interview analysis summarises the call and gives no verdict. Whether to offer is your call, from Make an offer on the interview's Offer tab.
Runs on its own
Reply classification, follow-up sequencing, opt-outs, screening conversations and must-know checks, and scheduling coordination run automatically. The full list, with what stays yours in each area, is in What the AI Does — and Never Does.
The one setting: CV screening review
When you screen a CV with AI from a candidate's page, you choose which results you are asked to look at:
- Every screened CV adds a review item to Needs you.
- Only CVs that score below a threshold add one; CVs at or above it do not. A CV screened without a job counts as 70%.
Change it in Settings → CV screening review. Approving or rejecting a review item records your decision; it does not change the candidate or send anything.
Stop everything
The kill switch pauses every AI action for your agency at once.
Every action is logged
Every AI action, and every approval or rejection of one, is recorded with a timestamp and who (human or AI) executed it. Admins can export the decision history from Settings → Compliance & AI Governance.
